The Active Directory contacts created by UnitySync are not mail-enabled

When creating your UnitySync connection, you must specify that you want to create mail-enabled contacts.

The default Destination Map Template is ActiveDir-contact (mail enabled). This will create mail enabled contacts.

In an existing connection, you can view the templates in use by reviewing the General tab. If the Destination template does not include the words ‘mail-enabled’, the connection was not configured to create mail-enabled contacts. You will need to create a new connection as the Map Templates cannot be changed once the connection has been created.

Click New next to the Connections drop-down in the upper left of the screen to create a new connection. Be sure to select a Map Template of ActiveDir-Contact (mail enabled).
