Mimic Documentation
Quick Start
Mimic is a single command line executable with no installer. You can run the program without any options for a help screen. The following steps will guide you through the initial configuration as well as your first time replication.
Mimic is guided completely by it's config.txt file. It should be located in the same directory as the executable. To generate the default config, execute the following command:
mimic-v1.0-w64-x86_64-EVAL.exe --config > config.txt
From here use your favorite text editor to edit your newly created config.txt file. Here are a couple of tips:
- All LDAP IDs and the context field require DN format.
Ex. cn=administrator,dc=acme,dc=test - Each attribute you add to the attribute list must be writable on the destination LDAP server.
- Examples for the tracking attributes are given for AD/LDS & OpenLDAP.
