Note: This article is relevant for versions prior to v2.1 but does not apply to current versions of UnitySync.
On your Windows 2008 Server, when running Admin Tools > Data Source (ODBC), this runs the 64-bit version of the ODBC Data Sources.
If you create a 64-bit ODBC Data Source, it will not show up in a UnitySync connection (UI Source and Destination tab DSN drop-down boxes).
UnitySync versions prior to v2.1 use the 32-bit version of ODBC. You must create a 32-bit ODBC Data Source.
- This requires that Oracle client be installed first
- Then, on the Windows 2008 Server, go to a cmd prompt and run odbcad32.exe
%systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64\odbcad32.exe
- Recreate the desired System DSN here
- Then return to UnitySync and you should see the DSN is now available
